The pour over that turned into a kitchen flood at 6 AM
Last Tuesday I got up early to make my usual V60 before work. I set the kettle to 200 degrees, ground the beans, and then realized I grabbed the wrong bag from the freezer. It was some dark roast I'd bought back in October for a recipe, not my usual light stuff. The whole thing took twice as long to bloom, water just sat there, and then I knocked the whole dripper over onto the counter. Coffee went everywhere, into the drawer below, all over my phone, and my wife walked in just as I was soaking up the mess with my favorite towel. She said 'this is why we just use the drip machine on weekdays' and honestly I still haven't recovered. Anyone else had a morning brew go this sideways or am I just cursed with bad freezer organization?
