Saw a big argument on Facebook about hand-cut dovetails vs CNC stuff

Honestly, I was scrolling last night and saw this guy say hand-cut dovetails are the only mark of a real cabinetmaker. Then another guy jumped in and said using a CNC is just working smarter not harder. It got me thinking about my own shop. I do mostly custom built-ins and I use a router jig for dovetails on drawer boxes, but I hand-cut them for visible work like blanket chests. What side do you all land on? Does using a CNC take away from the craft or is it just another tool in the box?

I was there last Tuesday getting help with a family tree project and overheard a staff member telling someone they could ask literally anything, from how to fix a toaster to the meaning of life. It made me think, is that a good idea for a public service? On one side, it's cool they're so open and want to help with any random thing. On the other, it might waste time on stuff they can't really answer. What do you think, should all 'ask anything' spots have zero limits?

My frozen french fry experiment went totally sideways

So I had a bag of those standard crinkle cut fries in the freezer, right? I usually do 400 degrees for 15 minutes, shake them once. This time, I saw a tip online to soak them in cold water for 30 minutes first to get them extra crispy. I dried them off real good, tossed them in a little oil, and put them in the basket. They came out limp and soggy, like they steamed instead of fried. I think the water soak just made them too wet inside, even after patting dry. In my experience, that trick might work for an oven, but the air fryer's different. Has anyone else tried this water trick with fries and actually had it work? What's your go-to method for getting the crispiest frozen fries?

Just realized I've logged over 400 plays of the same game

I was cleaning up my board game shelf and checked my stats on that tracking app. I saw I've played my copy of Terraforming Mars 412 times. It hit me like a ton of bricks. That's more than once a week since I got it six years ago. I play it with my regular group every Thursday, and I've taught it to maybe twenty different people. It's the game we always fall back on when someone cancels or we can't decide. I never thought I'd play anything that much. It's just always fun and different enough. Has anyone else had a game they've played into the ground like that?

I was against pocket hole screws for years, but a rush job changed my mind. Solid joinery or time saver? What's your take?
