Counted 14 fake tear dabs in that chef's 3 minute apology, so I timed every single one
I got weirdly into apology videos last week and decided to actually time how often that famous chef touched his eyes during his cheating scandal video from 2 years ago. It came out to 14 dabs in 3 minutes, but the kicker was that not one of them happened when he was talking about his wife, only when he talked about losing brand deals. I rewatched it 3 times with a stopwatch and the pattern held every single time, which honestly made me more annoyed than the cheating itself. My roommate thinks I'm nuts for logging this in a spreadsheet, but it feels like the timing tells you way more than the words do. Does anyone else track stuff like eye contact or voice cracks, or am I the only one with a notebook full of timestamps?
