Vent: found out how long a late rent payment sticks on your record and it floored me
I was digging through some old paperwork from my last apartment in Toledo and pulled up my credit report just to double check things. Turns out a single late rent payment can sit on there for up to 7 years, which is way longer than I figured. My old landlord reported me back in 2019 over a payment that was literally 4 days late because my check got lost in the mail. I sat there staring at the screen for a good ten minutes. Has anyone had any luck getting a late rent mark removed when it was this small of a thing?
