When did we all forget that pulling metal is a real skill worth keeping?

Saw a gardening blog once that made a good point about this. They said the real problem is calling any plant you didn't pick a "weed." Like, clover is great for bees and soil, but people spray it to have a plain green lawn. It's all about what you want the space to be for. A wildflower meadow is a goal for some, but it would be a nightmare in a tiny veggie patch.

Totally get that. My rewatch history is basically just me cycling through the same five sitcoms to avoid thinking. Hearing that about The Wire makes me feel like I've been using a toaster oven my whole life while everyone else has a real kitchen. It sounds like a totally different way to experience a show, where you're not waiting for what happens next, but seeing how all the pieces fit. I should probably try it with something that isn't just background noise for my anxiety.
