inPSA: Always double-check the torque on stabilizer trim jackscrews
Buddy of mine stripped a lug nut clean off once trying to hit the same torque twice.

inThat $40 'AI detection' tool flagged my college essay as bot-written
Idk man, I used to think those detectors were legit too. But reading your breakdown changed my mind, I wasted too much time second-guessing my own writing over a faulty score.

inThat $180 eBay CLA kit wrecked my Canon AE-1 shutter
Three hours of my life I will never get back after trying to adjust the float bowl with a pair of tweezers and a prayer @zara_sanchez. I figured hey, it's just a carburetor rebuild, how bad could a kit from eBay be? Turns out the gaskets were made of something that felt like thin cardboard and the brass parts had burrs that would snag a cotton swab. I even watched a video from some guy named "BikeWrenchMike" who made it look easy, but he didn't mention the o-ring would swell up like a balloon in gas. Lesson learned: next time I'm just paying the extra twenty bucks for a proper kit from the dealer.

inJust hit 500 drywall screws in a single day for the first time
Wait, are we really counting screws now? I get the satisfaction of a good rhythm, but hitting 517 seems like you're just making up work for yourself. I'd rather be efficient and use the right screws for the job than try to set a personal record. If my drill died at 300, I'd call it a win and move on to something else. All that extra screwing just to hit a number feels like a waste of time when you could be done and having a beer instead.

inDropped $400 on a fancy radio remote last year and it was a total waste
Yeah I used to think any antenna would work fine if the remote had enough power. This thread changed my mind though. Makes total sense now why metal cabs kill signal and a directional one fixes it.
