My 90 day review turned into a 3 hour talk about pizza and I somehow got a raise
So I walk into my 90 day review at this logistics office in Columbus expecting the usual checklist and maybe a small bump, and my manager opens with "before we start, did you try that new place on High Street?" Three hours later we had ordered two pizzas, argued about whether pineapple belongs on anything, and she slid my review sheet across the desk with a 12 percent raise written on it. Turns out she does this with every new hire because she hates stiff meetings, and nobody warned me. I just sat there with marinara on my sleeve holding a piece of paper worth an extra $4,800 a year. Has anyone else had a boss turn a formal review into a hangout, or is this just a Columbus thing?
