Mixing mud in a wheelbarrow with a drill, the paddle size matters more than you think
Been laying block on a retaining wall in Columbus for the past 3 weeks, and I kept getting stiff spots in my mortar no matter how long I mixed. Switched from that big 6 inch paddle to a smaller 4 inch one from Home Depot, and it pulls the bottom corners way better without flinging half the batch out. Saved me maybe 20 minutes a day on a 40 yard job. Anyone else find paddle diameter makes that much difference or is it just my wheelbarrow being too shallow?
