My $6 bus ticket in Medellin turned into a 5 hour detour

Missed my stop because the driver didn't call it out and the GPS app died at 3% battery. Ended up at the terminal, asked a random vendor, and she walked me to a local bus that got me there for half the price. Anyone else learned a city's transit map by accident when your phone gave up?

Phone dying is a choice. You had 3% and still pulled out the GPS instead of memorizing the route or asking the driver ahead of time. That bus ticket was cheap because you're supposed to pay attention. The vendor helping you out was nice, but it only happened because you didn't plan. Honestly, getting lost is how you learn a city, but acting like it was some random accident is a stretch. You could've just asked the driver to tell you when to get off, takes two seconds.
