Bought a $40 tire plug kit after 2 blowouts, worth every penny
I got stuck twice on the highway near Chattanooga with nails in my tires, paying $85 each time for a tow. Picked up a basic plug kit and a $15 air compressor for my trunk, and last month a screw in my sidewall took me 20 minutes to fix. Anyone else carry roadside repair gear that's paid for itself?

...the real trick is keeping a plug kit in each vehicle, not just one. My wife's car has one too because the one time you need it is always the car that doesnt have it. That $15 compressor though, that thing has saved me more times than the plugs honestly.
