DAE have a planner that's basically a graveyard of habits you quit by day 4?
I was sitting at a coffee shop on 5th Street in Austin two months ago with my old bullet journal, and this older guy at the next table leaned over and asked why half my habit trackers were blank after January. I told him I always start strong, fill in 12 days of "drink water" and "no phone before bed," then one missed box turns into a whole empty row and I give up. He pulled out his own journal, and he only had 3 habits in it, each one tracked with a single dot per day instead of a full grid. He said he tried the elaborate layouts too and realized a missed square felt like failing a test, but a dot just meant "didn't happen today, no big deal." I switched my own setup to a plain list, one line per day, and I've actually kept it going for 6 weeks now, which is a record for me. It's funny how a whole page of empty boxes can mess with your head more than an empty dot column. Has anyone else ditched the fancy tracker grid for something simpler and stuck with it longer?
