Took me 4 years to realize I was doing my monthly log all wrong
I always started each month by making a full list of tasks on the left page, then a calendar on the right. Last Tuesday I was flipping through my old journal from 2021 and noticed I had rewritten the same 3 errands like 8 times. That's when it clicked - I was using the monthly log as a to-do list when it's really meant for quick notes and events, not action items. Anyone else figure out they were misusing a core spread way later than they should have?

8 times? That's wild, I would have caught that way sooner just from the frustration.

Hang on a second @josephbailey, 8 times doesn't sound that bad to me if the payoff is right... I mean, think about it, if you're getting exactly what you want each time and the shop knows your name and treat you right, what's a few extra trips compared to the headache of starting over with someone new... I've had a mechanic tell me the same thing three times before he finally fixed something, and I still go back cause he's honest about what he can't do... sometimes sticking it out builds a better relationship than leaving at the first sign of trouble... you gotta decide what really matters to you in the long run.
