inMy uncle said to always check the damper first, and I'm glad I did
Honestly, that advice is a bit too simple for my liking. It skips over the real reason a damper might be closed in the first place. A homeowner usually shuts it because they already felt a draft or smelled smoke. Just flipping it open might fix the immediate puff-back, but it doesn't address why they closed it. The underlying draft issue is still there, and you'll probably get a callback when the weather changes. Finding the damper shut is a symptom, not the solution.

inI finally had to pick a side on the whole fiber optic vs copper debate for a retrofit
Totally get it, @singh.harper. That kind of progress changes everything, makes the wall feel totally different.

inMy local drive-thru went from a total mess to actually decent in about 3 months
I get what you mean, but honestly I've seen how chaotic some places get. It's easy to miss a detail when you're swamped with tasks and short staffed. A little recognition when someone gets it right can actually help make it the norm.

inI just counted my sourdough loaves from this year and hit 200
Wow, 200 is a serious number! I track mine too and the total always shocks me, it really shows the work you've put in.

inWarning about public Wi-Fi at the Denver airport last month
Sounds a bit overblown to me. Most public wifi uses basic encryption now, so grabbing your bank login isn't that simple. That random charge could have been from a skimmer at a store you used weeks ago. Sure, use a VPN if you're paranoid, but calling a phone hotspot a must is just fear mongering.
