Unpopular opinion: putting your LLC paperwork in a fire safe paid off after a pipe burst last month
Last month a pipe burst above my office in Tulsa and soaked a shelf of old files, but my LLC papers and signed operating agreement were in a $40 fire safe, dry as a bone. My insurance guy told me a scanned copy alone can slow things down with banks and the state, so having the wet-ink originals on hand got me a new business bank account in 2 days instead of 3 weeks. Does anyone here keep a paper backup, or is everyone just trusting the cloud?
