Update: my LLC operating agreement took 3 weeks and $900 to fix a handshake deal
My cousin and I started a lawn care gig in April with nothing written down, just a verbal 50/50 split. When he wanted out in July, the state wouldn't let me touch the bank account because his name was the only one on it. So what does a simple signed paper with our names and percentages really need to hold up, does it have to be notarized in Ohio?
Heard a lawyer say on a podcast that a plain signed paper works fine in Ohio, no notary needed, as long as both parties sign and the split is spelled out. The notary thing is only for certain real estate stuff.
