A $12 clearance tag at a Walmart in Dayton got me wondering how many fake markdowns I've missed over the years
The tag said the original price was $34.97 but a tiny sticker on the shelf said it was always $12. I've been second guessing every "sale" tag I see since, so does anyone actually check the shelf label against the tag before buying?

That stings, that tiny shelf sticker basically calling out the big tag as a lie to your face. I never check the shelf label against the tag but now I'm gonna start.
