Serious question, is paying $18 for a phone case actually smarter than four $5 ones?
I used to grab the $5 clear case off the rack at the mall kiosk near me in Charlotte every time mine turned yellow or cracked, which was about every 3 months. So over 2 years that's like $40 and I always had a janky case with a scratched up corner. Last August I finally caved and got an $18 Speck case, and it's still on my phone right now with zero cracks after I dropped it off my bike twice. My buddy says I'm an idiot and that four cheap cases give you the same protection for less, but honestly the cheap ones felt loose and the buttons mushed in after a month. His argument is you can swap colors and if one breaks you're not out much, which fair, I get it. But I keep thinking about all those times I had to drive back to the kiosk because the corner split. So which side are you on, one decent case for the long haul or a pile of cheap ones you toss when they go bad?
