Vent: I picked the $70 corded drill over the $200 brushless one and my wrist is telling me about it
Had to drill 40 holes in old oak shelving in my garage and the corded one bogged down on hole 12, so I returned it and ate the restock fee. Anyone else keep buying cheap tools for one job and paying for it twice?
Bought a $40 Harbor Freight hammer drill for a fence job two summers ago. Got maybe 15 holes into the posts before the chuck started slipping and the motor smelled like burnt toast. Took it back, grabbed a $180 DeWalt, and finished all 60 holes without a hiccup. That cheap drill cost me a whole Saturday and a second trip to the store. Learned my lesson the hard way.
