That week I ruined 2 sheets of walnut and still made the deadline

Last Thursday I was resawing some 8/4 walnut for a built-in and my fence slipped about halfway through. One sheet got a wavy cut that was unsalvageable, and the second one I tried to fix with a hand plane and just made it worse. That was $340 in lumber down the drain before lunch. I had three days left before install and the client had already paid half, so I had to start over on the resaw and use a glued panel for the door instead. Ended up working till 1am Friday and my shoulder still hurts from the feeding. The funny part is the client loved the glued panel look and asked if I could do that style on the other cabinets too. Have any of you had a screwup that ended up being the feature someone wanted?

The wood was $340?! Gone before lunch and they still got what they wanted.
