That new fiber termination kit I bought off Amazon stripped after only 8 drops

I picked up one of those cheaper kits from a seller called CableProTools last month and by the 8th drop on a new build in Aurora it was already leaving jagged cuts on the cleaver, has anyone else had luck with a specific brand that holds up past a dozen terminations?

Didn't used to believe cheap tools mattered until one stripped on me too.

Yeah, that "didn't used to believe cheap tools mattered" line hits home. I had a buddy who thought the same way, swore by those 99 cent socket sets from the auto parts store. Dude was changing his brake pads and one of the sockets just split right in half on a caliper bolt, sent him flying backwards into his tool chest. He was fine, just bruised his back pretty good, but it took him an hour to find all the metal shards in his driveway. Now he's got a whole drawer of Tekton stuff and won't shut up about how much easier it is.

You ever had one of those moments where you're just turning a bolt and then WHAM, the whole thing gives and you're left holding a shiny piece of scrap? That's the cheap tool tax right there. After my second one stripped, I started keeping a simple rule: anything I'm gonna put real torque on gets a mid-range brand at minimum. Harbor Freight for stuff I use once a year, but for suspension or engine work, I spend a little more. Saves a lot of cussin' and a trip to urgent care when a socket shatters. Plus, the good ones usually have a warranty that doesn't make you jump through hoops.
