Found out my local shop gets 40 repair tickets a week and only 2 of us can do lens work
I was poking through the job board at Precision Camera in Austin last Friday and the owner told me they turn away half their lens jobs because nobody on staff can handle the newer IS assemblies. He said one guy drives in from Round Rock twice a week just to cover the overflow. Is anyone else seeing a real gap in lens techs these days, or is it just this part of Texas?
