My buddies swear by ultra-light tents, but I find them a pain...
Every time we plan a trip, my friends bring their featherweight tents. I've had too many issues with durability and comfort... my old heavy one just holds up better in bad weather. Am I the only one who thinks spending extra on grams saved isn't worth it?
Watch them dump cash into these big projects that fold at the first sign of bad weather. I mean, look at those fancy road barriers that just float away in a mild flood. Or the brand new street lights that go dark if the wind picks up a little. Idk, maybe it's just me but it's kinda laughable how little it takes to break stuff. You'd expect better for all that money, right?
Those concrete barriers by the river last year were a total joke, they might as well have been made of cardboard. @mary_clark73 had the right idea with simple sandbags that actually work, not this overpriced junk. It's wild how they keep paying top dollar for the stuff that fails the fastest.
