Thought the $8 headlamp on Amazon was junk, ate my words on a rainy night in Bend
I grabbed it as a backup because my main light died two days before a trip to Bend, Oregon. Figured eight bucks meant plastic junk that would quit in a drizzle. Then it rained for about three hours straight on the trail and that little thing never flickered once. I ran it on low for roughly 14 hours over the trip and it barely ate the batteries. My buddy's name brand light crapped out at mile six and he ended up borrowing mine. Now I want to know if anyone else has a cheap light that just refuses to die, and what model it is.
