Unpopular opinion: I forgave the chef after reading his 2016 lawsuit filing
I was ready to pile on this guy from the 2012 scandal because the clip everyone shared made him look like a total jerk. But then I spent like 2 hours digging through the original court transcript and found out the quote was missing a whole sentence where he actually admitted fault and paid the victim's medical bills quietly. That changed everything for me. It took way longer than I expected, maybe 3 days of on and off searching, but seeing the raw context instead of a 15 second edit made me realize how fast I judge without the full story. Now I'm wondering how many other 'fake apologies' I've believed just because the headline was catchy. Has anyone else done a deep dive and flipped their verdict like this?
