Vent: nobody quoting the 'full context' of that 2019 livestream has watched past the first 40 seconds

Last week I sat through the whole 2 hour 14 minute VOD of that streamer who got dragged for a joke, and the part everyone clips is at the 38 second mark while the next 90 seconds is him saying he was wrong. Now his apology video is sitting at 40k dislikes because people keep saying he only said sorry after he lost sponsors. Am I crazy for thinking an apology reads as fake or real based on when it came and not whether the person got the facts right?
