Last week I went back through it and counted 15 names, and 9 of them are already hosting shows, doing ads, or touring like nothing happened. The trick that shocked me was simple: I checked their Instagram follower counts, and most barely moved, some even went up. The apology tour matters way less than I thought, it's really about whether their fan base stays put while everyone else yells. So do we judge these comebacks by the loudest posts or by the quiet numbers, because mine say the quiet ones are winning.

The part most people miss is that the loud posts fade in a week but the follower list just sits there the whole time, so the fans never actually left. Brands and studios look at those same numbers before they book anyone, which is why the comeback always seems to happen out of nowhere. The yelling was never the real vote.
