Just realized I forgave a brand I swore off 2 years ago without even noticing
Back in 2022 when that whole thing blew up with the founder's old tweets, I deleted the app off my phone and told everyone in my group chat we were done for good. Last Tuesday I was at Target in Boise and caught myself grabbing their stuff off the shelf like nothing ever happened, and I felt weird about it for the rest of the day. So my question is, when a brand quietly comes back and nobody's really talking about it anymore, do you just let it slide or do you hold the line?
Ugh, yes, this is such a real thing. It's the same way we all moved on from stuff like Facebook privacy stuff or that one chicken sandwich place, we get mad for a month and then life goes on and the app is back on our phone. I honestly think our brains just can't hold onto being mad at a company forever, there's too much other stuff going on. Half the time the "boycott" only lasts until the next time you need the thing and the other option is more expensive or farther away.
