Paid $60 for a deleted scene leak, the whole thing was fake

Came across a seller pushing 'unreleased footage' of that canceled influencer's final project, so I bit the bullet. Turned out it was just her old blooper reel edited to look suspicious. Anyone else get burned buying 'exclusive' dirt on a comeback story?

Has this ever actually worked out for anybody though? My roommate dropped $80 on some supposed leaked footage from that same situation, and all she got was a five minute video of someone's hand holding a blurry phone screen in a dark room. The audio was just wind noise and someone whispering gibberish that was probably supposed to sound mysterious. She tried to get a refund and the seller just ghosted her after saying it was "as described" in the listing. It took her a week to admit it was a dumb buy because she wanted so bad for it to be real. The whole market for this stuff is just people preying on hope, honestly.
