Kickless stretcher vs power stretcher, my 2 week switch
I ran a living room job in Dayton last month and brought both stretchers to compare. The kickless one took about half the time on the long runs, but you have to keep it dead straight or you get ripples. The power stretcher gave me more control around doorways and corners, but my knees felt it after 6 hours. For open areas I'm sticking with the kickless, for anything with turns I'm going back to the old way. Anyone else find their work split between the two?
I mean is it really that deep? Ive been using the same power stretcher for like 8 years and yeah my knees ache but theres no way im carrying two different tools around for every job. Sounds like you got a system that works for your specific setup but half the time saved on a living room isnt exactly a game changer when you factor in the setup and making sure the thing is dead straight. Ive seen guys try those kickless ones and they leave ripples more often than not cause they get sloppy when theyre tired. You do you but im not swapping gear based on one jobs numbers.
