Just realized the coyote falls 900 feet and walks it off, and the one fact that flipped me was that the animators drew the same 4 second drop loop for 30 years

The same 4 second drop loop" is just lazy cost cutting, not some clever inside joke. Reusing one clip that long means nobody bothered to make the fall funnier, they just ran it into the ground until people called it a classic.
