I started checking price history after I bought a $12 cable that was $4 the week before, and now I do it for everything from shoes to a coffee maker. That little habit adds up because stores know most of us just click buy without looking back at what the price used to be. Once you see how often stuff bounces around, it's hard to go back to trusting the sticker price.
