Can we talk about how the average star apology video runs 2 minutes 47 seconds now
I timed 30 apology videos from the past year and the average was 2 minutes 47 seconds. Not one of them went past 4 minutes. The older ones from like 2015 ran 6 to 8 minutes easy. So now the format is basically: quick camera stare, 45 second statement, one tear squeeze, done. Anyone else clocking these or is it just me?
The tear squeeze is the tell. If they hit the right mark and the eyes stay dry you know the whole thing was scripted by a manager. I started skipping to the last 20 seconds, that's where the actual apology lives if there is one.
