Just realized my brother's half-hearted apology mirrored a celebrity video I saw

I was picking apart that actor's apology video on here last week. Then my brother said 'sorry' for eating my leftovers without really meaning it. It felt exactly like when stars use empty words to save face. Now I catch myself looking for real feeling in family talks. It's weird how this stuff shows up at home too.

That NPR story last month had a therapist breaking down fake apologies. She said insincere "sorry" often uses the same vague language to avoid real blame. Spotting those patterns everywhere now, even at the dinner table.

My friend's boss does this all the time, @grant347. He'll say "sorry things got delayed" but never admits he forgot to send the files. Or "sorry if that came across wrong" instead of owning his rude comment. It's always "circumstances" or "a mix-up," never his own fault. My buddy says it makes the apology feel totally empty.

Isn't it possible that people say sorry like that just to move on quickly? Tbh, @thomas441, sometimes avoiding blame is easier than starting a big fight over leftovers or work files.
