That 4 min apology from a country singer in Nashville broke down because she kept looking off camera
So last Tuesday I'm eating dinner and my wife pulls up this apology video from a country singer who got caught lip syncing at a show in Nashville, and I swear I've never seen a more obvious "my publicist wrote this" in my life. The video was 4 minutes and 12 seconds and she looked off to the left at least nine times like someone was holding cue cards right off frame. I actually started counting after the second one because it was so distracting. The weird part was her voice stayed totally flat the entire time, no cracking, no pause, nothing, just this even reading voice like she was doing a voicemail for work. Meanwhile my daughter was watching over my shoulder and goes "dad why does she keep looking at her mom" which honestly nailed it better than any breakdown channel could. My wife wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but I pointed out she never once said what she was actually sorry for, just "the situation" and "anyone who felt hurt," which is apology code for "I'm sorry you're mad." Did anyone else clock that little head tilt she did right when she said "I take full accountability"? Felt like a tell to me.
