I fell for one of those 'sources say' posts about a reality TV couple splitting up. The account claimed they had a blowout fight at a restaurant in Nashville last Tuesday. I actually drove past that restaurant on my lunch break the same day and saw them both walking in together, holding hands and laughing. The account had no photo, no video, just a typed story with fake insider tone. I checked their tagged posts on Instagram and they were both live at a charity event that night in Memphis. Reported the account and it got taken down within 3 hours. It's wild how one anonymous post can snowball before anyone bothers to verify. Anyone else caught a fake rumor just by being in the right city at the right time?
