I was totally sure that whole thing was made up by fans until I saw a paparazzi shot from 6 months earlier where Hailey was wearing the exact same piece Selena posted. Does anyone else flip flop on whether these celeb rivalries are real or just PR?

Years of planned marketing" implies there was some big coordinated campaign from the start, but that's not really how Pokemon Go took off. The game launched with a ton of bugs and server issues. It was more about timing and luck than some master plan. The real reason it blew up was the nostalgia factor combined with the AR novelty hitting at the perfect moment. Niantic didn't even expect the initial rush of players, and they spent months just trying to keep the servers running. The marketing that came later was just them riding a wave they didn't fully create.
