Bought the $60 quarter round scrub brush for tough creosote, and I should have saved the money
A guy at the supply house in Tulsa swore the $60 quarter round brush would cut my creosote scrubbing time in half. I ran it on three flues that week and it was slower than my $12 wire brush because the bristles clogged up and I spent more time cleaning the brush than the flue. Two of the flues still needed a second pass with the old brush, so I basically paid five times the price for extra work. The brush now sits in the truck as a backup and I've gone back to what I have always used. Anyone found a mid range brush that actually holds up on glazed stage three creosote, or should I just stop trying new things?
