Number 500 turned out to be the scariest one of the year
Hit my 500th flue job last Thursday and it was in a 1920s house on Marion Street. The liner had cracked and there was so much creosote glazing I could scrape it off in sheets with a flat blade. I told the homeowner he was one hot fire away from a real problem, and he said he had burned trash in there twice in January. Have any of you seen a glaze that bad this season, and what are you charging for a stage 3 job like that?
