A neighbor's simple question last month made me rethink my yard
I was planting some native flowers in my front garden in Springfield when my neighbor, Mr. Ellis, stopped to chat. He asked me why I was putting in plants that looked a bit wild instead of a tidy lawn. I told him they need less water and help local bees and butterflies. He just nodded and said, 'I never thought of a yard that way before.' It was a small moment, but it felt good to plant a seed of an idea. Has anyone else had a chat like that turn into a bigger change for someone?
