Found out my city of 90k still ships its recycling to a landfill 200 miles away
Saw it in the public works budget report after a friend on the city council mentioned it offhand. Turns out the sorting center shut down in 2022 and nobody bothered to tell residents, we just kept rinsing jars for nothing. How do I even start pushing back on this without sounding like the crazy guy at the meeting?
