inGot stuck in a laundromat in Austin for 3 hours because of a poetry slam
Read something online a while back about laundromats in Brooklyn turning into pop-up art galleries. Guess this is the Austin version. @nelson.wren is right though, once you stop fighting the weirdness it becomes kind of a good story to tell. I bet that cat poem was actually deep if you think about it. Now I'm curious what other random stuff happens at places that are supposed to be boring.

inHad a crane boom deflection reading saved my buddy from a bad accident last month
Had the same thought honestly. Always figured steady wind is steady wind, gusts don't change much. But last week I was out and the forecast said 12 mph steady, then a 20 mph gust came through and nearly knocked me over. That changed my whole approach. Now I check the gust factor way closer, especially with lighter gear. Definitely made me reconsider how much difference those bursts make.

inThat $200 air purifier I bought during wildfire season in Oregon worked great, but now I'm wondering if it was actually a scam.
Wait, you actually put a real air quality monitor next to it and saw it drop from 180 to 15? That's way more proof than most people have when they call something a scam. I used to think those air purifiers were just expensive fans too, honestly. I read some article about fake HEPA filters and figured the whole thing was a ripoff. But seeing actual numbers like that from a real sensor changes my mind. Sounds like your unit is legit, even if the company has some sketchy history with other models.
