Shoutout to the local hardware store for showing me the right kind of insulation. Everyone keeps buying the pink stuff for old houses, but it can trap moisture and cause rot.

That sweater comparison is pretty funny but also kind of true! The real problem is when that trapped moisture has nowhere to go. It's not just about existing leaks, it's about stopping the house from drying out naturally.

Rayking has a point about the sweating thing, but is it really that big of a deal? My uncle used the pink stuff in his old place years ago and never had a problem. Seems like you'd need a serious moisture issue already for it to cause rot.
