Struggled with nested for loops for 2 weeks until my brother said run it line by line on paper
I was stuck on a pyramid pattern exercise in my Python class for 2 weeks, and then my brother told me to trace the loop on paper with actual pen and watch what i and j did each pass, and it finally clicked in like 20 minutes.
Did you actually need to trace it on paper though? I've seen people do that and still not get it, and other people just stare at the code long enough until it clicks. Feels like the paper thing gets way too much credit when really you just needed 2 weeks of your brain chewing on it in the background.
