That time I disagreed with everyone about the Walking Dead comics

So I was at a local comic shop last Saturday in Portland and this whole group was raving about how the Walking Dead comics got better after issue 100. I told them I actually thought it broke down after the prison arc ended around issue 48. A couple people got pretty defensive and said I was missing the point. Has anyone else felt like the series lost its edge way earlier than most fans admit?

Shocked anyone thinks it got better after 100 because that's exactly where I stopped reading, honestly.

Well you made it further than me, I gave up around 60 and felt like I was cheating on a test I was failing. Maybe we both saved ourselves some time and frustration.

Honestly, @the_robin hit it right on the head for me. Ngl, I think the prison arc was the peak and everything after just felt like the author was spinning his wheels. The story got repetitive and the character decisions stopped making much sense. Tbh, I don't get why people hype up the later issues so much.
