Vent: A guy at Galaxy Comics in Burbank told me my pull list was too long and it bugged me for two weeks
I was grabbing my usual stack and mentioned I pull about 14 ongoing titles, and this regular named Doug told me that is why I keep falling behind and forgetting plots. I was mad at first, but he had a point, so I cut down to 6 books and started reading runs in bulk instead of one issue at a time. Now I actually remember what happened last arc, but I still feel weird about dropping stuff. How many books do you all pull before it turns into a pile you never read?
14 titles is about where I draw the line too, and for years I swore I could keep up with way more. Cutting down to 6 and reading in bulk is the move though, because binging a whole arc in one sitting is the only way the story actually sticks in my brain. Weird feeling dropping books at first, but remembering what you read beats owning a pile you never touch.
