My first hat in 2009 was a ratty Kirby, and the new one weighs half as much
Honestly I dug my old Kirby Morgan out of the shop locker last week and it felt like strapping a bowling ball to my head. Three years ago we switched the crew over to the newer lightweight helmets and my neck stopped aching after a full shift on the pipeline in Pascagoula. Anybody else hang onto the old gear just for the memories, or did you sell yours off?

Mine just sits in the garage taking up space and I never even look at it. The old ones were tough but there's no way I'm going back to a sore neck every night.
