My primary light flooded on a salvage job last month

We were working on a sunken barge in about 90 feet of water in Mobile Bay. The light just went dark, and my tender confirmed the voltage drop. I had to finish the cut using my backup hand light, which was a real pain. Has anyone else had a primary light fail like that, and what brand were you using?

You're asking about the brand, but that's not really the point. The quality of the part matters way more than the name on the box. I've seen no-name stuff outlast the fancy brands plenty of times.

Actually, the original post that got deleted mentioned it was a Hyperbeam 900 lumen model. I remember because I looked it up after reading. Corastone is right though, the brand isn't the whole story. My garage has a generic shop light from the hardware store that's been going strong for eight years now. Sometimes you just get a good batch no matter what the label says.
