Packing my own grub for a month-long saturation job

The catered meals on the support vessel are getting old fast. I have a small personal cooler and access to a microwave. What simple foods hold up well and give energy for long decompression periods?

Used to rely on catered stuff too, but bringing my own changed the game. Now I pack hard-boiled eggs and nuts. They keep forever and give solid energy during decompression.

Honestly, hard-boiled eggs on a dive boat sounds like a bold move, @piper373. The smell alone would make me nervous around other divers. Tbh, I'd stick to the nuts and skip the eggs every time.

Yeah, I got sick of the same old slop real fast. My go-to was beef jerky and those little babybel cheeses, they don't need fridge space for ages. Also, those flavored tuna pouches over canned, way easier. Ate that stuff with whole wheat crackers for a meal that actually kept me full through a long deco stop.
