Passed my ADCI surface-supplied air exam on the first try at the Morgan City test site
Drove from Lafayette to Morgan City last Thursday for the ADCI surface-supplied air exam and walked out with a pass slip. Three years of topside work and night school at the community college finally paid off, and my old supervisor at the dock said he's got a tender spot with my name on it starting Monday. The oral part on decompression tables was what almost got me, not the wet test. For the guys who went through it, how long did it take before you felt solid on a real job instead of just test-day solid?
Quick heads up, ADCI doesn't run the surface-supplied test itself, that's the school or your cert agency handling it. Not trying to be a jerk, just don't want you getting tripped up if someone asks at the dock. Congrats on the pass and the tender gig though, that oral on the tables is no joke.
