Serious question, is it worth speaking up when you see a guy skip a step on a pre-dive check?
I was at a small bridge job outside Tacoma about 3 months ago and watched a newer diver skip checking his bailout valve before a 40 foot plunge. I said something to him after and he got pretty short with me, said he'd been diving 6 months and never had a problem. Now I'm wondering if I did the right thing or if I just made an enemy on a 4 man crew. Do you guys say something right there, or pull the supervisor aside, or just log it and move on? Feels like there's no clean answer here.
