Found a shortcut for dried thermal paste by heating it with a hair dryer for 30 seconds

Had a client machine in Toledo last month with a cooler stuck so bad I thought I'd snap the socket. Hit it with my wife's old hair dryer for 30 seconds and it popped right off with a little twist. Anyone else using heat on stubborn paste jobs, or is that just me?
